Young Votes to Confirm William Barr as Attorney General
WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) today voted to confirm President Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, William Barr. Senator Young issued the following statement after Barr was confirmed on a 54-45 vote:
“One of the Senate’s most important jobs is confirming Presidential nominees – a responsibility that I take very seriously. After reviewing William Barr’s record, I can say without a doubt that he is eminently qualified to serve once again as U.S. Attorney General. The Senate confirmed him to serve in this role once before under President George H.W. Bush, and I am pleased that we have done so again today. Barr’s expertise, deep knowledge of the law, and record of public service make him the right leader for the U.S. Department of Justice.”
