Senate Adopts Bipartisan Young-Led Yemen Amendment
WASHINGTON – Today, the Senate voted 58-41 to pass U.S. Senator Todd Young’s (R-Ind.) amendment to prevent the resumption of U.S. air refueling of Saudi coalition aircraft in Yemen. Yesterday, Senator Young introduced his bipartisan amendment (4080) to Senate Joint Resolution 54 with U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), and Chris Coons (D-Del.) and touted the amendment during a speech on the Senate floor. The Senate voted 56-41 to adopt Senate Joint Resolution 54, which includes Young’s amendment.
