Kokomo’s AndyMark named Small Business of the Day during National Small Business Week

Kokomo, Ind. – The Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship today recognized AndyMark from Kokomo, Indiana as the Small Business of the Day for National Small Business Week. This business, which was nominated by U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-IN) will be recognized in the Congressional Record of the U.S. Senate.

Senator Young visited AndyMark on Thursday to view their operations and share the news. Photos from that visit are below.

“Small businesses employ nearly half of the private workforce in my home state of Indiana. As a member of the Small Business and Entrepreneurship committee, I’m proud to recognize our hard-working Hoosiers and their vital contributions to our economy during National Small Business Week,” said Senator Young. “In addition to passing tax reform, we must continue to advance policies that will help our small and medium-sized businesses grow.”

AndyMark is a successful Indiana small business that provides Hoosiers with innovative and competitive robotics products. AndyMark is located in Kokomo, Indiana where their staff, who have over 200 years of combined experience, support the Hoosier robotics industry. AndyMark recently announced it is hiring more employees in part due to tax reform.

“Congratulations to AndyMark for receiving this recognition,” said Senator Jim Risch, chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. “Our nation relies on its 30 million small business owners to keep our economy moving forward, and I’m glad we can highlight their individual and collective achievements this week.”

For over 50 years, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories. As chairman, Risch honors America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Senate regularly.
