Senator Young visits Near Northside Neighborhood with former Colts Player Marlin Jackson

INDIANAPOLIS — U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) joined former Indianapolis Colts star Marlin Jackson in Indianapolis Friday to learn about his efforts to bring affordable housing to the Crown Hill neighborhood.

Jackson’s Revive Property Group works to revitalize neighborhoods by building homes in distressed neighborhoods

“People are working on the housing affordability crisis all over the country, but to have a former Colts player stay and give back to the community is even more special,” said Senator Young. “I’m grateful for the work Marlin is doing and I’m excited to work with him to tackle the issue of affordable housing through my Fair Shot Agenda.”

As part of his Fair Shot Agenda, Senator Young has introduced two bills to address housing affordability. One creates a Task Force to study the problem and report back with recommendations for Congress. The other incentivizes greater choice and mobility in the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)’s Housing Choice Voucher Program. Combined, these initiatives would take a major step towards solving the affordable housing crisis.
