WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) today released a video message to wish Hoosiers a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season.

“From the healthcare heroes to the frontline workers. From the teachers to the scientists who developed a safe and effective vaccine in record time. The American spirit has prevailed during this difficult time. I’m proud of the strength and resiliency displayed by Hoosiers this year,” said Senator Young. I’ve been moved by countless stories of Hoosiers stepping up to help their friends, and neighbors, and even people they’ve never met before. There is still a long road to recovery ahead of us but please know that I will never stop working for you. I wish all Hoosiers a very Merry Christmas. Stay safe, stay healthy and God bless.”

Merry Christmas, Hoosiers.

This holiday season our celebrations may look a little different.

2020 has been a year unlike any other and for many of us it has been full of challenges.

Some families may be mourning a loved one this Christmas, or working overtime at the hospital, or serving our nation oversees.

To every person who is missing their loved ones today, my heart is with you.

This has been a trying year, which is why it’s so important that we pause and reflect on our blessings this Christmas.

We live in the greatest nation in the world where we are free to worship and live our lives as we see fit.

We live in a nation where regardless of your background you can rise up and live your version of the American Dream.

And as we have seen throughout 2020, we live in a nation full of helpers and doers who have risen to meet the challenges of this year head-on.

From the healthcare heroes to the frontline workers.

From the teachers to the scientists who developed a safe and effective vaccine in record time.

The American spirit has prevailed during this difficult time.

I’m proud of the strength and resiliency displayed by Hoosiers this year.
