Young Announces $40 Million for I-65 Expansion Projects in Indiana

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) today announced that Indiana will receive two BUILD Grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) totaling $40 million. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will be awarded two $20 million grants for the South Central and North Central I-65 expansion projects. Senator Young urged DOT Secretary Elaine L. Chao to support funding for these projects, which are a top priority for INDOT.

“As the Crossroads of America, it is critical that Indiana’s roads can accommodate the safe transportation of people and goods,” said Senator Young. “Investments in infrastructure promote both safety and economic opportunity for Hoosiers and those who want to do business in our state.”
