Young, Colleagues Advocate for Small Businesses
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Todd Young (R-Ind.) and Jim Risch (R-Idaho) introduced the Simplifying Subcontracting Act to reduce complexity in federal government contracting and encourage more small businesses and entrepreneurs pursue contracts.
“Our bill will make government subcontracting agreements easier to understand, opening up more opportunities for Hoosier small businesses to compete for these contracts,” said Senator Young.
The Simplifying Subcontracting Act is a simple, one-page bill that would require the federal government to use straightforward language in subcontracting agreements.
In addition to Senators Young and Risch, Senators Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), John Kennedy (R-La.), and John Hickenlooper (D-Colo.) also joined the legislation.
