Young names Kossack state director

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) named Andrew Kossack his new state director today. Previous state director Deb Johannes has been named Senior Advisor to Senator Young.

“I’m excited to have Andrew aboard to manage our fantastic state offices. He has expertise in education, workforce issues, and taxes and is well-respected by those he has served with in both state and federal government.”

Andrew most recently served as Associate Counsel to Vice President Mike Pence. He also served as Special Counsel at the U.S. Department of Education. He previously worked in many capacities in Indiana State Government including Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Revenue, Workforce Policy Director for Governor Pence, Deputy Chief of Staff at the Indiana Department of Education, and Indiana Public Access Counselor.

An Indianapolis native, Andrew graduated received his B.A. from Butler University and his J.D. from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. He lives in Zionsville with his wife and two children.

In her role as Senior Advisor, Deb Johannes will focus on special projects in each region of the state.

“Deb has great relationships across Indiana, and she will continue to look for ways to ensure the federal government is doing its part to support the projects that are important to state and local leaders.”
