WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) today released a video statement in advance of Independence Day on July 4.

“This July 4th will look different than years past. The fireworks displays and celebrations might be smaller or cancelled altogether, but we should be no less enthusiastic about our shared values as Americans: that all people are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights,” said Senator Young in the video.

“Today we honor the bravery of the Americans who make our country great, from the servicemen and women who have fought to protect our freedoms, to the frontline workers who have carried us through this pandemic. May the courage, and determination of our Founding Fathers inspire the patriotism in all of us today and throughout the year. Thank you, and Happy Independence Day.”
