Young Statement on Martin Luther King Jr. Day
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) today released the following statement ahead of Martin Luther King Jr. Day:
“Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy reminds us that together we can change lives and make a lasting impact in our communities. During the challenging circumstances of the civil rights movement, Dr. King implored others to be ‘custodians of hope.’ He demonstrated the power of hope, respect, and dignity. Today, and every day, let’s honor Dr. King’s legacy by coming together as Hoosiers, and continuing to advocate for a fair playing field for everyone. By uniting our voices, we can make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors, and we can be ‘custodians of hope.’”
